Another Place Gallery

Another Place is an art installation on the coast at Crosby Beach near Liverpool in the UK.

It consists of 100 cast-iron, life-size figures by Anthony Gormley spread across the foreshore stretching almost one kilometre out to sea. All of the figures stare towards the horizon in silent expectation.

Following a 250km dash after work one Friday night, I made all four of these images on one magical July evening of colour, when I had the beach pretty much to myself. I finally tore myself away in the twilight around 11pm.
